Privacy Policy
Fractal Rhythm is made by Jacob Thom ("I", "me"). This policy explains what the app does with information about you. The short version: the app collects nothing.
What the app collects
Nothing. Fractal Rhythm has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not send your data to me or to anyone else.
What stays on your device
Everything the app makes is calculated on your iPhone or iPad and stays there:
- saved views, sound setups and settings;
- a note of the date you first opened the app;
- pictures and recordings, until you choose to save or share them.
Deleting the app deletes all of this. Backups you export are files you control.
Photos and sharing
The app asks to add to your photo library only when you save a picture or a recording. It cannot read your photos. When you share, iOS's own share sheet sends the file where you choose; the app does not see what happens after that.
Microphone, location and contacts
The app does not use the microphone, your location or your contacts. Recordings capture the app's own picture and sound only.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Apple
Apple handles downloads from the App Store and TestFlight and may share crash reports with me under Apple's own privacy policy. TestFlight feedback includes only what you choose to write and attach.
This website
fractalrhythm.com uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
Changes
A future version may add an optional subscription. Purchases would be handled by Apple, and I would receive no payment card details. This policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
